Danielle brings with her eight years of practical hands-on business experience, two years of international travel experience, as well as over five years experience practicing law at a leading full-service national law firm as a corporate/commercial solicitor. In the fall of 2012, Danielle made the decision to leave the large corporate environment to launch JarvisLegal Law Corporation.

Background

By way of background, Danielle is originally from Alberta, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2007 from Queen’s University. In the spring of 2005 Danielle studied International Business Law at Queen’s International Study Centre, located at Herstmonceaux Castle in Southern England. In the spring of 2007 Danielle interned with the Department of Foreign Affairs at the Mission of Canada to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium, working in the trade department and covering environmental issues.

Before embarking on a legal career Danielle spent a year teaching ESL in Pusan, South Korea, spent many months backpacking around the world and was involved in a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including owning and operating a tour company and working as a computer consultant.

Danielle’s Interests Include (in no particular order):

  • Chauffeuring her son to soccer, hockey, golf and other many other activities;
  • Almost all outdoor activities, including:  hiking, camping, backpacking, fly fishing, kayaking, hunting, and more;
  • Photography and writing;
  • Many sports and activities including: skiing, skating, golf, and hockey;
  • Traveling; and
  • Working on her property on Galiano Island (one of the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia) with her wife. Many renos completed, many to go!
